Hyderabad: Having made his debut in 2007 with Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Chirutha,’ Megastar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan has completed 16 glorious years in Telugu cinema and emerged as one of the top stars in the south film industry.

However, Ram Charan is more than just a Tollywood hero as the entire world is chanting his name after a big Oscar win for “Naatu Naatu.” On the occasion of his 38th birthday, let’s take a look at the actor’s five best films.

Rangasthalam

This is surely one of Ram Charan’s most memorable films. Even more than ‘RRR’ and ‘Magadheera,’ most of the Telugu audience went gaga over Ram Charan’s acting in this film. He gave strong proof of his acting prowess when he teamed up with Sukumar for this film. He played the role of a partially deaf man, Chitti Babu, and he nailed the role. The action drama turned out to be one of the iconic hits of Tollywood and it posted great box office numbers.

Magadheera

The film marks the first collaboration of Ram Charan and Rajamouli. Owing to its mind-boggling theme, melodious songs, and powerful performances, ‘Magadheera’ shattered all the existing records in south Indian cinema and went on to acquire a cult status over the years. Starring Kajal Aggarwal as the lead actress, the epic scene where Charan battles it out with 100 warriors created a rage in the theatres.

RRR

The list cannot be complete without this film. ‘RRR’ is almost a festival in Indian cinema and Ram Charan’s performance in the film has also been lauded. Charan played the role of Alluri Sitharamaraju in this magnum opus. The actor delivered an intense performance and did justice mainly to the action scenes.

Orange

No matter how this film performed at the box office, it soon gained a cult status in the hearts of Telugu movie lovers. The film received praise for its unique concept and effective performances. Besides the story, Harris Jayaraj’s music struck the right chords with the audience and all songs ended up as blockbusters.

Dhruva

The inspirational cop drama shows Ram Charan as an intelligent police officer. While the thunderous BGM created wonders on the silver screen, the gripping narration by director Surender Reddy connected with the audience big time.
