Fact Check: Scripted video shared with false claims

Hyderabad: A 2-minute long video, where a girl can be seen entering a washroom is widely being shared on social media.
Users claim that the visuals are from a hotel washroom.
"Girls, be careful!!! What happened when the girl in the hotel went to take a bath in the bathroom? Share this video as much as possible," reads the English translation of the post in Hindi.

The claim is False.
NewsMeter began its investigation by performing a Google Reverse Image Search, which led us to a video uploaded on a Facebook page 'Karnal Plus' on February 01, 2022.
The page had uploaded a longer version of the video, which was of 03:51 minutes. On having a look at the video, we found that the original video was cropped. The viral video had included the visuals till the time frame of 02:01 minutes.
After the visuals of the viral video, at the time frame of 02:15 minutes, the girl starts examining the taps and the commode. She then starts looking for something all around in the washroom. At 3:04 minutes, she can be heard saying, "What did you think? The girl would come, have a bath, and you people would watch. You did not think that water was flowing here. Yeh kisi ne dhyaan nahi diya. You guys watch such content and this is why such content is made and girls get worried about going to a new place. Change your thoughts, that is when society will change. Be Alert, Be Safe."
We also found that there were many more similar educational videos uploaded on the Facebook page. According to the information about 'Karnal Plus', they are a place for content authors who create original authentic video content.
We lastly compared a screengrab from the viral video and the original video.
Through the comparison, it was evident that the viral video was uploaded by 'Karnal Plus'.
Hence, the claim is False.
