Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has completed another flyover in LB Nagar as part of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP).

The flyover will ease the city's traffic woes.

Constructed at a cost of Rs. 32 crore, the 700-meter-long and 12-meter-wide flyover is expected to be inaugurated soon by Minister for Municipal Administration, IT, and Industries, KTR.

LB Nagar RHS flyover promises to make the travel experience more convenient for city residents, allowing people from Andhra Pradesh's combined districts of Khammam and Nalgonda as well as local residents to travel to other parts of the city via Hayat Nagar. The flyover will also increase vehicle speeds, enabling traffic to move straight at the LB Nagar Junction without interruption.

Of the 47 works undertaken by the SRDP, 35 have been completed so far. LB Nagar RHS flyover is the 19th in this regard.

GHMC has taken special measures to address the increasing traffic congestion in the city, with 32 works funded by GHMC having already been completed, and three out of the six works related to other departments also completed.

Golnaka to Amberpet flyover by National Highways Department, Uppal Junction to CPRI (Medipally) flyover, and Aramghar to Shamshabad two 6-lane flyovers by the Roads and Buildings Department are among the other projects the GHMC is working to complete as soon as possible. All ten different types of works worth Rs 2335.42 crores are expected to be completed by December this year.

Despite some delays due to the model code of conduct, the LB Nagar RHS flyover is set to open by the end of March, offering significant benefits to commuters along the stretch. The completion of the flyover is expected to improve traffic congestion in the area and further contribute to the city's overall infrastructure development.
