Yuva Galam in Palamaneru: Lokesh promises jobs for youths if TDP comes to power

Palamaner: On the fourth day of his padayatra Yuva Galam, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh assured the youth he would create more job opportunities for them once the TDP returns to power in the state.

On 30 January, his padayatra reached Palamaneru where Lokesh interacted with the youth. “After the YSRCP came to power, the youth are suffering as there are no employment opportunities and even the fee reimbursement has been discontinued,” said Lokesh.

Addressing the public, he asked the youth to work with him to bring back the TDP to power. “I assure all of you that industries will be set up at Palamaner that will create jobs,” he said.

Earlier, Mr. Lokesh met the Vaddera union at Gandharamakulapalle where the members of the community said they were not being recognised economically or politically. The elders of the community also expressed concern that their children are migrating to other states, sometimes other countries, in search of employment and that they are not getting any funds from the government.

Stating that the Vaddera community should be included among the STs, Lokesh said there was an immediate need to launch welfare schemes for the community and promised that once the TDP comes to power, all necessary steps will be taken to resolve their problems. “Mr. Chandrababu Naidu allocated Rs. 70 crores for the welfare of the community. The people of Kuppam and Palamaner are migrating to Karnataka as life has become very expensive in the state,” he said.
